FORT PIERCE, FL: In an uplifting celebration of Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County’s 30th anniversary, 30 Club members from the Infinity and Garden Terrace Clubs were treated to an
unforgettable shopping spree at the brand-new Academy Sports + Outdoors in Port St. Lucie. The event not only marked a significant milestone for Boys & Girls Clubs but also showcased the
power of community partnerships and the commitment of Academy Sports + Outdoors to making a positive impact.

Each Club member was generously given $100 to spend as they pleased within the sprawling store. The excitement and joy were palpable as the children explored the aisles filled with
athletic clothes, shoes, backpacks, and an array of sports equipment. The shopping spree extended beyond personal indulgences as the children thoughtfully selected gifts for their families, adding a touch of generosity to the celebratory occasion.

What made this shopping excursion even more special was the presence of dedicated chaperones accompanying each child. The Club members were paired with members of the Port St. Lucie Police Department, Boys & Girls Clubs board members, and Boys & Girls Clubs Booster Members. This meaningful collaboration created valuable connections between the young shoppers and influential community figures and exemplified a unified effort to support the next generation.

Academy Sports + Outdoors has a passion for community relations and operates on three pillars: Empower, Encourage, and Connect. Their community relations mission states, “Academy
Sports + Outdoors creates ways for members of the community to connect and have fun with each other. We build connections within the community by supporting events, programs, and
organizations that make a positive impact.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County CEO, Will Armstead, said, “These types of events where so many different entities come together to support our youth are truly heartwarming, and they
leave such a lasting impact on our Club members.”

As Boys & Girls Clubs continue their journey of positively shaping the lives of young people throughout St. Lucie County, events like these reinforce the importance of collaboration and community support in building a brighter future for all.
