The Island Club PGA was packed with people in gowns, tuxedos and masks for the 10th Annual Steak & Stake Dinner and Auction benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County.

Steak & Stake 2017

More than 300 guests enjoyed an elegant masquerade ball organized by Chairperson Leslie Kristoff, president of Keiser University, Port St. Lucie Campus.

Guests interacted with Club members, and enjoyed a steak dinner, compliments of Outback Steakhouse, followed by desserts provided by The Cake Lady.

“It was an honor to chair this year’s Steak & Stake Dinner and Auction,” said Kristoff. “The generosity of our sponsors, overwhelming response from the community, and the illuminated faces of our Club Kids made this a truly memorable event.”

“Once again, our community has come together for the good of the children,” said Nate Spera, board president and St. Lucie County Fire Chief.

The evening began on the veranda with paella provided by Paella King and drinks furnished by Bonner Bar.

Opera singer Aurora Jenkins opened festivities with Think of Me, from Phantom of the Opera.

Club members of the BGC Chuck Hill and Oak Hammock Units performed a dance choreographed by Wendie Smith of Wild Roses, who donated her time to work with each Clubhouse.

TRAXX Entertainment provided the sound and MC equipment.

Throughout the magical evening, guests mingled, bid on live and silent auction items, learned about educational and character-building programs for Club members, and purchased chances at a grand raffle.
