38th Annual Chili Cook-Off - The Virtual Edition
This year because of the COVID19 pandemic we had to restructure our event a bit to keep people safe, healthy, and follow CDC guidelines.

The Virtual Edition of the 38th Annual Chili Cook-Off was a HUGE success thanks to YOU!
COVID has brought us many challenges over the past few months, and Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County (BGCSLC) has risen to the occasion every single time. Staying true to their mission of, “Whatever It Takes”, BGCSLC is redefining the 38th Chili Cookoff, as a virtual online event.
“Our Club Kids and our community count on us,” said Will Armstead, BGCSLC Chief Executive Officer. “We will not cancel the Chili Cookoff. We rely on this event to help fund our programs. What we have planned is different, innovative, fun, and most importantly safe.”
This year the 38th Annual Chili Cook-Off took place as a virtual event online due to COVID restrictions and our strong commitment to health safety.
Our team has created an awesome online event that will be engaging, heartfelt, and will still whet your appetite for chili.
The funds raised during the chili cook-off, whether live or virtual, are still a staple to providing the services that allow our ClubKids to learn, engage, and grow as great citizens and stewards of the community.
To help with audience participation we encourage you to take any photos of how you are celebrating with us at home and post them on your social media pages and include the hashtags
There will still be the usual bits of entertainment such as teams with their 1994 theme, recognizing our 25th anniversary, Performances from our ClubKids and yes, the chili speeding eating contest you will be able to participate in from the comfort of your own home.
Near the end of the broadcast, we have Tom Moran, our 4X chili eating champion eating a 10-ounce bowl of chili in his speedy fashion.

Chili Cook-Off will be 100% virtual this year...but still tons of FUN!
Funds raised through our 38th Annual Chili Cook-Off are critical for St. Lucie County’s recovery.
As you know with schools opening later than scheduled our camps have continued to support families.
Additionally, the Club is poised to support the community’s need with expanded programs moving into fall.
This includes academic hubs, workforce readiness for teens, and providing families with basic needs.
We cannot provide this relief without YOUR support.
