The celebration began at 10am and stayed busy until the end at 2pm. “We were thrilled to share the day with hundreds of families and Club members and create a meaningful experience. We are especially thankful to our sponsors and community supporters who came to support us in making this a fun day and celebrate all kids.” said William Armstead, CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County.

Day for Kids

Free food and activities were available to Club members in addition to food trucks present. Community resources such as the St. Lucie County Fire Department, Roundtable of St. Lucie, Hibiscus Children Center, Parent Academy, Florida Kids Club, Treasure Coast Foodbank, New Horizons and 211 helpline was onsite to provide a free activity. Other activities included face painting, giant jenga, corn-hole, bead bracelet making, live entertainment, bounce houses, a basketball tournament, and many other fun activities.

Day for Kids was made possible by Casino Miami Jai- Alai who was the presenting sponsor in addition to local sponsors Paradise Homes Group, Fort Pierce Utilities Authority and Children Services Council.

“We truly enjoyed being a part of the Day for Kids event with the Boys and Girls Club. All of these kids deserve time to be free and enjoy their day doing what they love which is spending time with family and friends,” stated Kellie Gordon Ignelzi of Paradise Homes Group who sponsored the basketball tournament.
