Day of Difference

The Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County is holding a Day of Difference on October 24th from 8 to 3, at the clubhouse on Lennard Road, in Port St. Lucie. It’s your chance to give back to the community. Please join Ken Pruitt & his staff from the Property Appraiser’s office and help. We need volunteers to trim trees, pressure wash buildings, paint and general clean up. If you, your staff or civic organization would like to help make a difference in a child’s life, please call 460-9918.

As the work continues through October at the Club, pictures will be posted of all the generous volunteers that are making this project happen for our kids at the Ken Pruitt Unit. Follow the progress on our facebook album.

Basketball Court slab (removed and re-poured) Dickerson Florida

Pressure washing of 3 buildings, a pavilion, and walkways/patios SLC Work Farm
Signage on the road and updated sign on the building

Current flooring in main building is tile with many cracks, chips, etc. Would like to do new flooring (potentially polished concrete)
Countertop needed for teen building: 5’4 x 1’10 Louden Pools
Commercial grade blinds for concreatables:

1: 51” x 53”
2: 51” x 71”

Broken window pane needs to be replaced (34” x 23”) Chauncey’s Glass
Gatorade vending machine needs to be repaired OR need new vending machine for beverages
Need bike rack (kids ride their bikes to the facility; currently nowhere to lock them up)
Ground cover (ie recycled rubber tires) around pavilion
Deep cleaning of entire facility
New ceiling tiles for main building (several stained and sagging)- structure needs to be looked at for durability A-1 Acoustic Ceilings
