Triple C: Career and College Connections.

Exclusively at BGCSLC, this suite of programs helps each member learn about careers and explore the world of higher education. Triple C provides concrete ways to start thinking about their lives as adults. Triple C programs:

Career Launch gives young people practical information on how to write resumes and prepare for job interviews, and then takes them on tours of local businesses where they explore real-world job possibilities.
BGCSLC College Tours. Small groups of members visit several college and university campuses in Florida to see where they might want to continue their education. For some, it’s the first time they can envision themselves as college students.
STAR Scholars and Workforce Education. A partnership with numerous community groups, including St. Lucie Public Schools, this program gives young people real-world job experience to stimulate their thinking about their futures.
Diplomas2Degrees, is a college readiness program that guides Club members ages 13+ as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success. d2D helps teens develop both short- and long-term goals, assists youth in securing financial aid and fosters supportive relationships with adults who can provide support throughout the college experience.
Junior Staff. This program provides the tools to help young people prepare for a career in Boys & Girls Clubs or other service professions. Those who participate in Junior Staff experiences on-the-job Club work that improves their interpersonal skills, develops a strong work ethic and creates a sense of community engagement.
Teen Summit. An annual BGCSLC culminating event, the Summit provides teens with motivational speakers, information sessions and workshops on subjects relating to qualifying for and keeping a job and preparing for higher education.
