Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County
Dear Friend,
In 1994, a group of community leaders had a vision to open a Boys & Girls Club in St. Lucie County. Our Founders were concerned that children and teens were wandering the streets after school – they needed somewhere safe to go. Since then, our Club has grown to 23 locations serving 17,000 youth K-12.l...
In 2019, Westside Church had a vision to better serve the community and invited our Boys & Girls Club to rent their facilities. The additional 53,000 sq. ft. of buildings and 25-acres makes us one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs in the entire state. But more importantly, it gives us the capacity to provide life-enriching programs to more youth – especially those who need us most. Today, our 30th Anniversary year, we have the opportunity to purchase this property for $8.5 million. As you know, St. Lucie County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. We currently serve 24% of the 5-18 population. But there are so many more young people who need us now and will need us in the future. We must be prepared to accommodate the growing numbers of children and teens who depend on us for a safe place to learn and grow.
Together, you and I can Build Great Futures for thousands of young people given the space and potential at the Westside Club Complex. Your gift or pledge today to the Westside Club Capital Campaign will have a meaningful impact on the future of our youth and community.
On behalf of all young people who need us now and in the future – thank you!

Workforce Readiness
Building tomorrow’s leaders, innovators and problem-solvers
To help young people meet the workforce challenges of tomorrow, they need safe spaces, positive mentorship and work experiences today. From an early age through high school, we provide opportunities to explore careers and prepare youth with employability skills for future success. Clubs also connect teens to real-life work experiences such as internships and apprenticeships.

The Arts
Unleashing creativity and building confidence
Artistic expression enhances cognitive abilities, fosters greater self-awareness and helps youth regulate their emotions. Programs like music, dance, arts & crafts, foster creativity in young people, and give them outlets for self-expression. From photography to hip-hop, our arts programs have something that will inspire everyone.

Academic Success
Developing globally competitive graduates
Academic Success programs are designed to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career.

Sports & Recreation
Creating a healthier generation
Club sports and recreation programs such as golf and flag football, help kids develop physical fitness, reduce stress and promote a positive use of leisure time, appreciation for the environment and interpersonal skills.
