Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County Chuck Hill Golf Classic Returns to Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, FL: Over the weekend, more than 150 golfers participated in the 26th Annual Chuck Hill Golf Classic benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. Proceeds from this year’s tourney will be earmarked for the creation of the Lighthouse Teen Development Center, a world-class, state-of-the-art Clubhouse located in the heart of the Lakewood Park community in Fort Pierce.

In addition to 18 holes of golf, the 38 foursomes were faced with numerous contest holes and challenged by LPGA golfers Josee Doyon and Sandra Angulo. Golfers were awarded foursome certificates to local golf courses for the following categories: closest to the tee, putting contest winner, longest drive, and top three performing foursomes. The winning team was made up of Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County Board Member, Brian Bauer, as well as Robert Orue, Cory Adams, and Tony Muscarella.

Chuck Hill Golf Classic Chair, Charles Cuomo, reminds golfers and community partners of the impact this tournament has on our community. “This event directly benefits over 4,700 children in our county who need us most while providing them with places to learn and grow daily,” said Cuomo.

“We’re grateful to the many businesses and individuals who supported this event. Their support shows how much they care about youth in our community and their futures,” said Will Armstead, CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County.

This year’s Chuck Hill Golf Classic sponsors include the Ohrstrom Foundation, Rusty Putter, Don Green Electric, A&G Concrete Pools, Inc., Southern Eagle Distributing, Nelson Family Farms, St. Lucie Draft House, SouthState, Reynolds Pest Management, Keiser University, Law Firm of Hoskins Turco Lloyd & Lloyd, American Concrete Industries, Walmart, Core & Main, Fox McCluskey Bush & Robinson, Lee Family Charitable Fund, Guettler Brothers Construction, and Palmdale Oil Company.
