Board Member Spotlight: Santana Jeffs
The leaders that make up our Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County Board of Directors have a dedicated passion to our youth and are critical in sharing our mission with the community. Board member, Santana Jeffs, joined our board in 2021 and brings with her a passion for all children and teens to have a safe place to learn and grow.
Q: What is your “why?”
A: My “Why”: Why leave it all to chance when I have to power to help make a difference? I had a very hard childhood and I wish that I had a place like the St. Lucie County BGC to call my safe place. I believe in helping the youth as they are our future.
Q: Why should the community get involved?
A: Community Partners need to know the community they are involved in and the BGC is a perfect way to understand the community. It’s also important for them to get to know our future talent that they may be hiring. You just never know they may have a loved one who benefits from the BGC.
Q: What has your experience been like as a board member and witnessing the growth of the organization?
A: I have been in complete awe to see what good will and innovation can do for a community. I am so honored to be a part of an AMAZING board and being able to partner with an amazing CEO Will Armstead. I believe that St. Lucie County BGC will continue to grow and touch more lives.
