August 1994. A group of community leaders put their heads together and realized the importance of a place for the youth in St. Lucie County to call their own. A place to feel safe. A place to be mentored. A place where their skills, passions and desires could be cultivated.
Soon after, in 1996, the Club served 916 boys and 612 girls. Those 1,528 kids have now grown to over 4,600 and to start the 2020 calendar year.
As we move forward to the next 25 years we have created a campaign to keep our clubs updated with all the same state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that our Club kids will use in their real-world endeavors. The three pieces to the campaign to raise 2.5 million dollars are transportation, life-enriching programs and world-class clubs.
Our anniversary celebration will come to our family fun event on Friday, April 24 where we will turn the Port St. Lucie Civic Center into the BIGGEST club we have for one day with all of the club activities, games, programs and more to give you a first hand look at what it is like to be a Club kid!
