Dear friends: What’s on your wish list this year? For our kids, it’s a Great Future. You have the opportunity to positively influence and impact the youth of St. Lucie…
Dr. Shamsher Singh, a long-time supporter of our veterans and the Honor Flight program, invited the Boys & Girls Clubs of St Lucie County’s (BGCSLC) Youth of the Year and CEO to join the May trip to Washington DC.
“It was a life changing experience that will last forever,” said Will Armstead, CEO of the BGCSLC. “Spending a full day with American heroes and hearing their stories will always keep me grateful for the men and women who served and sacrificed for all of us.”
Rebecca Jacques, the 2018 Youth of the Year, was both nervous and excited when Dr. Singh extended the invitation to join the trip as his guest.
Her first airplane ride included 83 Southeast Florida WWII and Korean War Vets and a unique trip to our Nation’s Capital.
“I will never forget this trip,” she said. “It was an amazing experience. I can’t thank Dr. Singh enough for the trip of a lifetime and the opportunity to meet one of our greatest citizens.”
