She earned over 1,000 service hours serving as a Junior Staff, Lead on Projects such as Elder Care Day, Park Clean-Ups, Day 4 Kids, and serving families at her church’s soup kitchen. She is now attending college at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. “My major is Pharmacy. I took seven classes, including: Chemistry 2, Chemistry 2 Lab, Calculus, Geography, African American History, Historical Survey, and Pharmacy Forum. I received 4 A’s and 2 B’s, earning a 3.6 GPA for the semester. I believe the first semester in college was one of the largest obstacles I have had to overcome thus far. It was a challenge juggling seven classes and being away from my family in a new city. I learned a lot about myself, and grew into a stronger, more independent individual. In the future I plan to continue studying pharmacy at Florida A&M University. I am not sure what area of pharmacy I would like to enter but I am leaning more toward retail,” said Leeandrea Jones.
